Link Articles
Link related articles so readers find the rest of a topic.
Updated on 6 October 2026
Linking related articles, such as a main document and its appendices, helps readers explore a topic in more depth. A link works both ways: each article shows the other one in its related content.
Link an article
-
Open the article and click the "Information" icon at the top right.
-
Under "Related content", click "Link a content..." and type the name of the article.
-
Select the article in the list. The link is saved at once.
You can also do this in the editor: open the content settings ("Settings" icon) and use "Related Contents".
Remove a link
In the "Related content" section, move the mouse over the linked article and click "Unlink this content".
Other ways to connect articles
-
To show an article inside another article, use the Article block. Readers see it in the body of the text. To learn more, read Elium's Editor.
-
To link to an article from a sentence, select the text in the editor and add a link.
Good practices
-
Link only related articles. A link should lead readers to information that completes what they are reading.
-
Use clear link text. In a sentence, write text that says what the linked article is about, such as "how to escalate a ticket", rather than "click here".
-
Check your links over time. When you archive or delete an article, look at the articles linked to it.
