Keep a public portal up to date
How new versions, approval, archiving and validity dates affect a public portal.
Updated on 7 October 2026
Because a portal shows the articles themselves, the content lifecycle works without extra steps:
-
A new version published in the space replaces the previous one on the public page.
-
If the space requires approval, an article reaches the portal only once approved and published.
-
Remove an article from its folder to withdraw it from the portal. The article itself is unchanged and stays available to space members.
-
Archiving or unpublishing an article removes it from the portal at once.
Validity dates and article statistics work as in any other space, so you can follow what external readers consult and what needs a review.
