Reshare
Make an article visible in another space while keeping a single version.
Updated on 7 October 2026
Resharing makes an article visible in another space, without copying it. There is still one version of the article: when the original changes, the reshare shows the change.
A reshare has its own comment thread, its own likes and its own statistics. You can also give it new tags.
Reshare an article
-
Open the article and click "Share".
-
Click "Reshare".
-
Click "Choose a space" and select the space.
-
Write a message in "Leave a comment..." if you want, then click "Next".
-
Keep the tags of the article or add new ones, then click "Reshare".
The reshare opens in the new space. Your message appears at the top of its comments.
Edit a reshared article
You cannot edit a reshare. Edit the original article and publish your changes: in spaces without mandatory approval, the reshares update automatically.
From the three dots of the reshare, you can:
-
click "See original content" to open the original article,
-
click "Edit reshare message" to change your message.
Reshare into a space with mandatory approval
See Approving reshares for the rules on publishing and updating reshares in spaces with mandatory approval.
Delete an original article
When you delete an original article, its reshares are deleted too. Elium warns you before: the window tells you how many reshares you will remove.
Reshare an article that links to other articles
If a reshared article links to articles that the readers of the new space cannot open, reshare those articles in the same space too.
