Where the thumbnail appears

In the content feed of the homepage and of each space, in the list and condensed display modes. The table mode does not display images: if you see no thumbnails in your feed, check the display mode toggle at the top of the feed (the choice is remembered across the homepage and all spaces).

In search results.
In the panels on the right of the homepage and in the table display mode, articles intentionally show an icon representing the content type instead of an image, to keep the interface light.
If no thumbnail is set, the article's main asset is used instead.
