Personal Alerts

Save a search as an alert and receive its new results by email or RSS.

Updated on 6 October 2026

An alert is a saved search that Elium sends you by email. At the frequency you choose, you receive the new articles that match the search. Only you receive your personal alerts.

An alert keeps the text and the filters of your search: spaces, tags, content owner, templates or date, for example. It works for a search on the whole platform or in one space.

Create an alert

  1. Search for the topic you want to follow, and add the filters you need.

  2. Click the three dots next to "Reset search", then click "Create an alert...".

  3. Give the alert a title and, if you want, a description.

  4. Under "Alert frequency", choose "Some days" and select the days, or choose "Each month".

  5. Under "Select sending time", choose the time. The time uses the time zone of your preferences.

  6. Click "Save".

The "Alert is shared with other users" switch is for platform coordinators and administrators. See Shared Alerts.

Edit or delete an alert

  1. Click your profile picture in the top right corner, then click "Settings".

  2. In the menu on the left, under "My account", click "Alerts".

  3. Click the three dots at the end of the alert, then click "Edit" or "Delete".

The same page lists the shared alerts that you receive, under "Shared Alerts".

Follow a search with RSS

If you use an RSS reader, you can follow a search as an RSS feed instead of an email:

  • For a search: click the three dots next to "Reset search", then click "RSS feed...".

  • For a saved alert: on the "Alerts" page, click the three dots at the end of the alert, then click "Get RSS Feed".

The feed link contains a personal key. To make all your feed links stop working, go to "Preferences" in your settings and click "Reset RSS feed links" in the "Others" section.
