Find and trust an answer
Search or ask the AI, then check who owns an article and when it was last verified. Report what is wrong or missing.
This page shows how to find an answer in Elium and how to decide whether you can trust it.
1. Search or ask
Use the option that fits your need:
| You want to | Use | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Open something you already know about | Search bar, then click a result | "Refund policy" |
| Find everything on a subject | Search bar, then press Enter and use the filters | "refund" with the "Customer service" tag |
| Get a direct answer | "Ask AI" | "Can an advisor refund a customer who was billed twice?" |
The search bar first looks at titles and names. Press Enter to search the full text of articles, comments and attached files. To learn more, read Quick search, Advanced search and Answer.
2. Read an AI answer
The "Ask AI" feature is called Answer. It uses only the articles that you are allowed to read, and it lists them as sources.
Before you act on an important answer, open its source and read it. Then tell Elium if the answer helped you: click "Good thanks" or "Not good".
3. Check an article
Three details at the top of an article tell you how much you can rely on it:
-
The owner: the person to contact if you have a question.
-
The date: when the article was last updated.
-
The space: the team or subject that the article belongs to.
Also look at the verification badge, if the article has one. Hover over it to see who verified the article and until when.
-
Green badge: someone has verified the article, and the date has not passed.
-
Red badge: the date has passed. The content may still be correct, but it must be checked. Compare it with another source or ask the owner.
-
No badge: nobody has set a verification date. Look at the owner and the last update date.
4. Report what is wrong or missing
-
The article is wrong: add a comment or contact the owner.
-
The article does not exist: in the search bar, click "Request Article" to ask for it. Your administrators must have enabled requests for the space.
