Smart Feeds
Add blocks to the homepage sidebar that show filtered articles or a message, for everyone or for some teams.
Updated on 7 October 2026
Smart feeds make the homepage more personal and relevant. They are blocks in the right sidebar of the homepage. A block can show a filtered list of articles (a "Dynamic Feed") or a message (a "Rich Text" block), for everyone or only for some teams.
A dynamic feed works like a smart tab, with two differences:
-
It can show articles from several spaces at once.
-
It can show different articles to different teams.
Examples
-
The latest best practices, from several spaces, to break silos.
-
The latest product updates, for each team.
-
The tutorials of the platform.
-
The latest incidents, only for the IT team.
Open the sidebar builder
-
On the homepage, hover over the right sidebar and click the gear icon.
-
Click "Manage sidebar".
You can also open it from "Settings" > "General" > "Look & feel": click "Edit" next to "Manage sidebar blocks".
The Sidebar Builder lists the blocks on the left. Drag a block to change its order, and use its switch to show or hide it.
Create a block
-
Click "Add block".
-
Choose "Rich Text" or "Dynamic Feed".
-
Write the "Block title" in each language.
-
Under "Block visibility", choose "For everyone", or "For specific teams" and select the teams.
-
For a dynamic feed, choose the filters under "Content settings": "Filter by spaces", "Filter by tags" and "Filter by templates". Then, under "Block settings", choose the "Number of results" and the sort order.
-
Check the preview on the right, select "This block is ready" and click "Create".
The tag filter works like in smart tabs: tags of the same category are combined with "OR", tags of different categories with "AND". See Search Logic.
