How to Parameter My Space?

The settings of a space: name, description, look, group, visibility, default role and notifications.

Updated on 6 October 2026

Open the space, click the three dots next to "Joined", then click "General Settings". The "General" tab has one card for each topic, each with its own save button:

  • Name and description of the space, in each language. They help people understand what the space is for.

  • Header: the header image or colour, and the thumbnail.

  • Promote: show the space in the menu on the left or in the overview.

  • Automatic verification of new articles. See Keep articles up to date.

  • Permissions and Visibility: the group, the type of space, the default role of new members, and the option to make it a default space. All new users join a default space automatically.

  • Notifications: tell administrators and coordinators, or contributors and readers, when new content is added. These notifications are off by default.
