Setting a Space

Open the settings of a space from the space or from the platform settings, and export the list of spaces.

Updated on 7 October 2026

You can open the settings of a space from the space itself, or see all the spaces in the settings of the platform.

From the space

  1. Open the space and click the three dots next to "Joined". You can also hover over the space in the menu on the left and click its three dots.

  2. Choose the settings to open.

The settings of the space have these tabs:

  • General: the name and the description of the space in each language, the header image or colour, the promotion of the space, the automatic verification of new articles, the group, the visibility, the default role, the default space option, the notifications, and the deletion of the space.

  • Members: the people and teams of the space and their roles. See Affiliating users.

  • Approval: the approval settings of the space. See Approval.

  • Imports: the files imported in the space.

  • Analytics: the statistics of the space.

  • Recycle bin: the deleted articles of the space. See Restore an article.

Each card of the General tab has its own save button.

To add, edit or reorder the tabs of a space, use the menu on the left. See Manage space tabs.

From the settings of the platform

  1. Click your profile picture in the top right corner, then click "Settings".

  2. In the menu on the left, open "General" and click "Spaces".

  3. Click the three dots at the end of a space's row.

The menu of a space has these options:

  • Edit: change the name, the description, the group, the visibility, the default role and the default space option.

  • Manage members: open the Members tab of the space.

  • Download members: download the list of the members of the space.

  • View: open the space.

  • Close and Delete: see Close or delete a space.

Only public and moderated spaces can be default spaces. All new users join a default space automatically.
