Keep Articles Up-to-Date

Key articles may need refreshing from time to time to ensure that the information provided is still current and reliable. To do this on Elium, you can use the "mark as up-to-date" feature and the personal dashboard to keep track of these types of articles.

Set a verification date

First, you need to set a date to review your articles:

1. Click on the icon ✅ at the top of your article or select the "Mark as up-to-date" option from the three-dot menu.

   

2. Select a verification date, either from the suggested periods or specify a custom date.

3. Confirm your selection.

4. A badge with the validation date will appear, signaling to all users that this article is valid and trustworthy. This badge will also be displayed on the article card.

   

Contributor Dashboard

30 days before the verification date, soon-to-expire and expired articles will appear in your dashboard list.

• In green for articles that will expire in the next 30 days.

• In red for articles that are already expired.

The number of expired articles will be displayed in the dashboard item in the main app navigation.

Update expired articles

• Go to the corresponding article; a red icon will appear with a badge indicating that the article has expired.

  

• If the article has been updated, set a new verification date just as you did the first time (repeat the same process).

Default expiration date

You can set a default expiration date for any new article. This can be customised for each space.

Go to the space settings in the General tab.

Enable the card "Automatically schedule verification for new articles".

You will have the option to choose between one month, three months, or one year.

Every time a contributor publishes a new article, an expiration date will be automatically assigned to that article. Consequently, the content owner will be notified 30 days prior to the expiration date.

Monitoring the platform

You can view the total number of expired articles across the entire platform from the content tab in the Analytics section of the admin panel.

Click on the "See the expired articles" button to open a modal displaying the list of all expired articles, along with the owner of each article and its expiration date.
