Can We Restrict the Creation of Tags to Users?

Yes, in two ways.

Restrict a category

In a restricted category, only administrators add tags.

1. Click your profile picture in the top right corner, then click "Settings".

2. In the menu on the left, open "General" and click "Categories".

3. Click the three dots at the end of the category's row, then click "Edit".

4. Select "Restricted" ("Users cannot create new tags.") and save.

Limit the creation of hashtags

Hashtags are tags without a category. By default, all users can create them.

1. Click your profile picture in the top right corner, then click "Settings".

2. In the menu on the left, open "General" and click "Tags".

3. Click "Actions", then "Hashtag settings".

4. Choose the "Minimum role" for creating hashtags and save.
