Audit Log

Updated this week

The Audit Log provides a detailed history of security-related events happening in Elium. It helps administrators understand who did what and when, which is essential for compliance, security investigations, and internal audits.

Why Use the Audit Log?

Sometimes it’s hard to trace critical actions in Elium. For example:

  • User management visibility: Identify who invited or removed an external user.

  • Changes in permissions: When user are granted additional permissions system-wise or at the space level.

  • Access monitoring: Verify successful or failed login attempts.

The Audit Log is different from Analytics. While Analytics focuses on platform usage, the Audit Log specifically records security-sensitive events.

Availability & Activation

It is available on-demand exclusively for Vault customers.

To access it, activation must be requested and will be manually performed by the Elium team.

Once the feature is activated, event recording begins immediately; no events are stored prior to activation to avoid unnecessary data collection.

Data Export

The Audit Log offers a simple CSV export feature. Administrators can download the file directly from the admin interface using the dedicated download button in the security tab. The exported data includes events recorded during the last 90 days.
