About Metadata

Each article has its own metadata.

  • When you create or edit an empty article, you will find a grayed-out section at the bottom of the page. This is where you can add additional information to your article.

  • When you create or edit a pre-defined article, the administrator may have set up metadata fields below the article title. Some of these fields may be mandatory. You can update the fields of your article whenever you wish.

About Thumbnails

By default, Elium automatically generates a thumbnail (picture) for the entire article, except for Collections and events.

Thumbnails are displayed:

  • in alerts and notifications via email

  • in the presentation of the summary type (activity feed and library)

  • in the tabs present in gallery mode

At any point during the creation of your article, you can add a thumbnail.

💡 Note

If you have inserted content in the Highlight area, the thumbnail will take precedence in the display for flow, search, and notifications.
