On Elium, we offer 3 password security levels:
Low: ensures the password is different from the user name
Medium: also requires the password to be minimum 8 characters long and to containg enough different characters
High: additionally checks the password for simplistic patterns and resemblance to a dictionary word. Repetition and palindromes are not allowed. Minimum of 12 characters.
💡 Note
By default, the security level is medium on Elium platforms. The administrator can change this setting from the administration interface, under the 'Security' tab.
An account is suspended after 5 unsuccessful attempts. It is re-enabled automatically after a period of 10 minutes; it is not possible to reactivate it manually
