Tabs allow you to filter and structure content within your space.
β
π Permissions
β
Managing tabs of a space is reserved for administrators of the space or system administrators.
β
Default Tabs
Two default tabs are suggested in every new space:
β
1. Content Feed
This tab displays all the recent activities of the space. It shows:
β
the latest published articles sorted by publication date
βfeatured articles at the top of the space if there are any
βthe activity log (latest user's activities such as likes, comments, reshares...)
β
π Notes
β
This view is similar to the Activity Homepage
βNot what you are looking for? Keep scrolling, we have plenty of other tabs to offer
β
2. All Articles
The "All articles" tab is the second default tab of a space. It lists all the articles available in the space. This tab behaves like the global search but at the space level.
β
β
Other Types of Tabs
Besides the default tabs suggested, you can also create other tabs of different types.
β
1. Activity
This tab displays the social feed of the space, meaning:
β
the activity feed of the space with a preview of each content and the related user activity (likes, comments...)
βfeatured articles at the top of the space if there are any
βthe introduction text
βsocial boxes if you inserted any
β
π Notes
β
When somebody comments on an article, this article will move back up to the top of the activity feed
βThe 'content feed tab' focuses on content while the 'activity tab' focuses on social interactions
β
2. Smart Tab
A smart tab displays articles according to an automatic search rule created by the administrator and based on specific filters:
β
one or more mandatory tags
βa specific type of template
β
β
It is also possible to choose the display mode of these articles (list or grid) as well as the sorting order:
β
1) Smart tab list view
β
2) Smart tab grid view
β
3. Link-Type Tab
Any external secured web page (https:// format) can be displayed in full page as a tab.
β
Examples:
β
an embedded form from an external service (JotForm, Google Form, etc.)
βa video, a presentation stored in an external service (YouTube, SlideShare, Prezi, etc.)
βa database
β
π Notes
β
For YouTube, for example, you have to use the URL provided for embedding (integration) (example: https://www.youtube.com/embed/8sY9yL1e7nM). It can generally be found in the share options of this kind of service.
β
4. Article-Type Tab
It allows the display of any space content in full page.
