๐Ÿ”’ Permissions
โ€‹

Our antivirus system is exclusively available to Enterprise plans and is currently in beta version via the Lab.
โ€‹

Any image or file under 500 MB uploaded to Elium will be automatically screened for viruses. This process may take a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the size of the document.
โ€‹

How does it work?

  1. Our antivirus system scans all uploaded documents.
    โ€‹

  2. While the documents are being scanned, a message will appear to inform you that the scan is in progress. Generally, it takes a few seconds to load and scan the document.
    โ€‹

  3. If no threats are detected, the document will be accessible to everyone.
    โ€‹

  4. However, if a known threat is identified, the following message will be displayed: "Virus detected. Downloads are disabled." From that point on, it is no longer possible to download the problematic document, and an email is automatically sent to administrators to alert them.

What to do when a virus has been detected?

We recommend following this procedure:
โ€‹

  1. Cease using the document and notify the member who uploaded it to stop using it as well.
    โ€‹

  2. Alert your IT Team; they typically have an internal procedure to follow in such cases.
    โ€‹

  3. Delete the document from your Elium platform (even if downloads are blocked, someone with the direct link could still access it).
    โ€‹

๐Ÿ“ Notes
โ€‹

Our system scans documents up to 500 MB. For documents larger than 500 MB, we recommend relying on your internal antivirus system.
